WinRAR
WinRAR is an archive utility created by Eugene Roshal. WinRAR is distributed under its own license and is not available for free. WinRAR can be downloaded and installed for evaluation. WinRAR is considered one of the best and most popular Windows archive utility right after WinZip.WinRAR supports many archive file types but in its core it was designed to support its own RAR archive file type. RAR is considered superior format though although better than Zip it is still less popular.
WinRAR is fully compatible with WinZip Zip files. It also supports many other files formats. WinRAR does a good job in creating multi file large archives and is thus popular when processing very large archives.
